PVC Board

The full name of pvc plastic board is Polyvinylchlorid, whose main ingredients is PVC. It has bright color. And it has the advantages of corrosion resisting, strong and durable. The PVC products can not store food and medicine because it usually add plasticizer, anti-aging agent and other toxic auxiliary materials during manufacturing process to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility, etc. It is one kind of the most favorable synthetic materials in the world. It is the second usage among the synthetic materials. 

PVC is the most suitable one among the materiasl for production to three-dimensional surface film. Its specific gravity is 1.38 grams / cubic centimeter,shrinkage of molding is  0.6-1.5%, and the the molding temperature is 160-190 ℃.

General Properties of PVC plate:

PVC resin is a kind of white or yellowish powder. Its relative density is 135~145. The degree of products’ softness can be adjustthe by adding plasticizer. The pure PVC is quite limited in the water absorption and air permeability.

Mechanical Properties of PVC Board：

PVC is one kind of material which has high hardness and perfect mechanical properties. And they increase with the increase of the molecular weight, and decrease with the temperature rise. The mechanics performance of hard PVC is good, its elastic modulus can reach 1500~3000MPa.. But the soft PVC is only 1.5~15 Mpa, but its elongation at break is very high, about 200%~450%. The market friction of pvc is common, the static friction is only 0.4~0.5 and the dynamical friction is 0.23

Thermal Performance of PVC Board:

The thermal stability of PVC is very poor. It begins to decomposw at 140℃ and melt at 160℃. The linear expansion coefficient of PVC is small, and it is flame retardant, its oxidation index is above 45. Electrical properties of PVC board: the electrical performance of PVC is good. But its electrical insulation is not good as PE and PP because of its larger polar. Its dielectric constant, the value of dielectric loss angle tangent and the volume resistivity is big. Its corona resistance is poor,so it is generally used for mesolow and LRC low frequency electrical insulating materials.

Environmental Performance of PVC Board:

PVC resistant to most of the inorganic acid, alkali, salt, and most organic solvents. It is suitable for pharmaceutical and chemical Anticorrosive Materials
